EVN segment

The EVN segment is used to communicate necessary trigger event information to receiving applications. Valid event types for all chapters are contained in HL7 Table 0003 - Event Type.

Count the pipes to find a field, and count the empty ones too: an empty field still holds its place. Leave out the separator before EVN-3 and its value arrives as EVN-2, so the receiver stores Date/Time Planned Event as Recorded Date/Time.
