EQP segment

The equipment log/service segment is the data necessary to maintain an adequate audit trail of events that have occurred on a particular piece of equipment. 13.4.12.0 EQP Field Definitions 13.4.12.1 EQP-1 Event Type (CE) 01430 Definition: This field identifies the type of event of the message. Refer to HL7 Table 0450 – Event type for valid values.

Count the pipes to find a field, and count the empty ones too: an empty field still holds its place. Leave out the separator before EQP-2 and its value arrives as EQP-1, so the receiver stores File Name as Event type.
