About Medblocks

Medblocks is building a developer-focused “stack for healthcare” that makes it possible for anyone to build applications that integrate directly with clinical workflows without rebuilding expensive Electronic Medical Records systems. We believe code has the potential to save more lives than doctors can by themselves.

Founded by doctors-turned-programmers, our team leverages open, vendor-neutral standards like openEHR, FHIR, SMART, and SNOMED CT to create a platform that makes healthcare data accessible, interoperable, and useful.

Our Culture

At Medblocks, we operate with three core values:

Trust: We trust you’ll get your work done without micromanagement. We don’t enforce working hours or monitor your activity—we measure outcomes, not outputs.

Transparency: We believe information flow is at the heart of a healthy company. We share detailed financials and metrics with our team and maintain open communication about company direction.

Customer Value & Honesty: We’re obsessively focused on delivering value to our customers and maintaining honest relationships about what our technology can and cannot do.

We’re a team that values deep work, clear communication, and continuous learning. We’re building technology that matters, and we’re looking for individuals who want their code to make a difference in healthcare.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive based in the US to drive our growth and manage our client acquisition process. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, you will own the sales cycle from initial engagement through contract execution, utilizing a consultative approach to understand the deep technical and operational needs of our prospective clients.

In this role, you will be the front line of Medblocks’ commercial strategy, engaging with inbound leads, presenting customized integration solutions, and ensuring a seamless handoff to our account management team. If you excel at converting digital leads into strategic partnerships and want to sell technology that transforms healthcare interoperability, we want you on our team.

Location & Eligibility

  • Location: US
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete sales cycle from initial client engagement through contract execution, ensuring alignment with Medblocks’ consultative sales approach.
  • Engage with inbound leads generated through digital marketing efforts, including website inquiries, content engagement, and social media channels.
  • Conduct initial client outreach and qualification to accurately assess organizational needs related to healthcare data integration and interoperability.
  • Schedule and lead introductory meetings and product presentations to showcase Medblocks’ services.
  • Follow up with prospective clients through targeted email communications and outreach efforts to support strong lead conversion.
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals that align perfectly with client technical requirements and operational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding service offerings during discussions with prospective clients.
  • Support overall client engagement by participating in industry conferences and events to initiate new relationships with potential customers.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Account Manager to transition qualified prospects into structured consultation and onboarding processes.
  • Communicate client requirements clearly to internal technical and product teams, ensuring perfect alignment between sales commitments and service delivery capabilities.
  • Assist in refining our core sales messaging based on direct client feedback and market response.
  • Coordinate with marketing initiatives, leveraging content and campaigns to support overall sales efforts.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records of client interactions, pipeline status, and sales activities within our internal CRM/tracking systems.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyzing the data to adjust outreach strategies and improve conversion rates.
  • Report on sales pipeline progress and key outcomes to senior management.

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, developer tools, or healthcare technology.
  • Proven track record of managing full-cycle sales with a consultative, value-driven methodology rather than high-pressure tactics.
  • Strong experience converting inbound digital marketing leads, conducting discovery calls, and managing a healthy sales pipeline using a CRM.
  • Familiarity with the US healthcare IT landscape (EHRs, digital health, interoperability) is a massive plus.
  • Exceptional spoken and written English; ability to present complex technical solutions clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-trust, autonomous, remote environment where outcomes are valued over hours logged.
