Training Terms
Last updated: 05/10/2026
These Training Terms (“Training Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you” or “Participant”), and Medblocks Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business at 100 Front Street, Suite 400 #122, Worcester, MA 01608 (“Medblocks,” “we,” “us” or “our”), concerning your enrollment in and participation in our Training Programs.
These Training Terms apply only to Training Programs. They do not apply to the Medblocks Platform, to any Medblocks application through which you connect a Medicare account or other health data, or to the medblocks.com website generally. Those are governed by our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. No health data or Medicare data is collected, used, or processed under these Training Terms.
By enrolling in a Training Program, you agree to these Training Terms. If you do not agree, do not enroll. Training Programs are intended for participants who are at least 18 years old.
We may update these Training Terms from time to time by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. Changes apply to enrollments made after the revised date. For a Training Program you have already enrolled in, the version in effect at the time of your enrollment applies.
Definitions
“Training Programs” means the paid and free educational offerings provided by Medblocks, including the FHIR Bootcamp, the openEHR Bootcamp, the FHIR App Challenge, self-paced courses, live workshops, and live training events, whether delivered online or in person.
“Training Materials” means all content provided as part of a Training Program, including session recordings, slides, code samples, exercises, sandbox environments, course text, and any other materials made available to Participants.
“Cohort” means a scheduled run of a live Training Program with a fixed start date.
Enrollment and Eligibility
Enrollment is confirmed when we receive full payment, or the first installment where a payment plan is offered, and send you a confirmation. A seat in a live Cohort is not reserved until then.
Enrollment is personal to you and may not be transferred, shared, or resold. Where an organization enrolls employees, the organization is responsible for those Participants’ compliance with these Training Terms.
You may need an account on our training platform to access Training Materials. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
Some Training Programs have stated prerequisites. We do not verify prerequisites and are not responsible if you enroll without meeting them.
Fees, Payment, Cancellation and Refunds
Fees for each Training Program are stated on its page at the time of enrollment, in US dollars unless otherwise shown. Fees are exclusive of any taxes, bank charges, or currency conversion fees, which you are responsible for.
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated into these Training Terms by reference. Those policies apply only to Training Programs.
Where a payment plan is offered, you agree to pay all installments on time. We may suspend access to Training Materials until an overdue installment is paid. Cancelling after the first installment does not release you from installments already due.
Changes and Cancellation by Medblocks
We may change the schedule, instructors, syllabus, or delivery format of a Training Program where reasonably necessary. We will give you notice of material changes to a live Cohort you are enrolled in.
If we cancel a Cohort before it starts, we will offer you a transfer to a later Cohort or a full refund of fees paid for that Cohort. This is your sole remedy for a cancellation by us. We are not responsible for any other costs you incur, such as travel or time off work.
If a live session is disrupted by events outside our reasonable control, we will reschedule it or provide a recording.
Recording and Use of Likeness
Live sessions of Training Programs may be recorded in audio, video, or photographic form. Recordings are made available to Participants in that Cohort and may be used by Medblocks for future Training Programs.
By participating in a live session, you grant Medblocks Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use recordings that include your likeness, voice, name, and contributions (such as questions and screen shares) in promotional and educational materials related to our Training Programs, without compensation.
If you do not want specific footage featuring you used in future promotional materials, contact support@medblocks.com. We will remove or stop using that footage in new promotional materials within a reasonable time. This does not apply to recordings already distributed to Participants or to materials already published.
You may keep your camera off and use a display name of your choice during live sessions.
This section does not apply to the Medblocks Platform or any Medblocks application. We never record patient data sessions, and no health data or Medicare data is used in promotional or educational materials.
Training Materials and Intellectual Property
Training Materials are owned by Medblocks or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Training Materials for your own learning for the access period stated on the Training Program page, or for as long as we make them available if no period is stated.
You may not share, redistribute, publish, sell, sublicense, or publicly perform Training Materials, or use them to build a competing course or training product. You may not share your platform login with others.
Code samples provided under an open source license (such as those in Medblocks public GitHub repositories) are governed by that license, not by this section.
Code and other work you create during a Training Program remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive right to use it within the Training Program, for example to review it in a session or show it to other Participants in the same Cohort.
Any feedback or suggestions you give us about a Training Program may be used by us without obligation to you.
Participant Conduct
You agree to treat instructors, staff, and other Participants with respect. You will not harass, discriminate against, or disrupt others in live sessions, community channels, or other Training Program spaces.
You will not upload real patient data or any protected health information to Training Program sandboxes, exercises, or community channels. Use synthetic or de-identified test data only.
You will not attempt to access Training Materials or sessions you are not enrolled in, or interfere with the security of our training platform.
We may remove a Participant from a Training Program for breach of this section. No refund is due in that case.
Certificates of Completion
Where a Training Program offers a certificate, it is issued on meeting the completion criteria stated on the Training Program page. A certificate records participation in a Medblocks Training Program. It is not an accredited qualification, a professional license, or a certification by HL7 International, openEHR International, or any other standards body, and should not be represented as one.
No Professional Advice
Training Materials are provided for educational purposes only. They are not legal, regulatory, compliance, or medical advice, and do not guarantee that any system you build will meet HIPAA, ONC, CMS, or other regulatory requirements. Consult qualified professionals before relying on Training Materials for production or compliance decisions.
